How to update songs using the GV Song Update Code?

  1. To install the GV Smart App on your smartphone: search “GV Smart App” on Google Play(Android) or App Store (iPhone/Ipad). Open the GV Smart App on and make sure your smartphone is paired with the Grand Videoke.
  2. Go to “Song Update” on the GV Smart App to find and download new Song Update Volumes. On each of the volumes, press “View Song List” to see the songs included in the volume. You can also download a PDF copy of the song list and print it.
  3. Press “Download Volume” to download the Song Update Volume,
    Note: You can download multiple Song Update Volumes to your smartphone.
  4. Once you’ve finished downloading the Song Update Volume, press “Buy Code” You will be directed to Grand Videoke website to buy the GV song update volume. Press the “Transfer to Grand Videoke” to key in the GV Song Update Code that you have purchased. Press confirm code.
  5. The Song Update Volume will now be transferred from your smartphone to the Grand Videoke. You will see a confirmation on your TV screen.
    *Make sure your GV Smart App is updated to the latest version
 

How to pair your smartphone or tablet to the Grand Videoke?

  1. Hotspot Mode  (Only one smartphone or tablet can be connected)
    1. Download and install the GV Smart App from Google Play Store or IOS App Store for free.
    2. Open your mobile’s Hotspot. (Remember the name and password of your Hotspot)
    3. Turn on your Grand Videoke unit. Using the remote, press the “Menu“ button and select “Config”
    4. Go to “Smart Phone Set Up” and select “HotSpot” using “arrow up” or “arrow down” key then press “Select”.
    5. Press "Cancel” to save the changes and exit from “Config” set up.
    6. Press "Wi-Fi” button on the remote control.
    7. Select Hotspot name (SSID) of your device to connect with Grand Videoke unit and enter the password.
    8. Press "Start” on the remote control to connect.
    9. Open the GV Smart App on your device. Select “Pairing Karaoke Machine”.
    10. Select "New Connection” if first time to connect or “Load the last connection” if previously paired with Grand Videoke unit.
    11. Scan the QR Code displayed on the TV screen.
    12. Once connection is successful, a confirmation message will appear on the TV screen and mobile device.

  2. AP Mode  (A Wi-Fi router must be present. Connect up to four mobile devices)
    1. Download and install the GV Smart App from Google Play Store or IOS App Store for free.
    2. Turn on your Grand Videoke unit. Using the remote control, press the “Menu“ button and select “Config”.
    3. Go to “Smart Phone Setup” and select “AP” using “arrow up” or “arrow down” key then press “Select”.
    4. Select Wi-Fi name (SSID) to be connected with Grand Videoke and enter the password. Press ‘Start” on the remote to connect.
    5. Press “Cancel” to save the changes and exit from “Config” set up.
    6. Press ‘Wi-Fi” button on the remote control.
      (Please ensure to use same Wi-Fi access on your mobile devices and Grand Videoke unit)
    7. Open the GV Smart App on your mobile device. Select “Pairing Karaoke Machine”.
    8. Select "New Connection” if first time to connect or “Load the last connection” if previously paired with Grand Videoke unit.
    9. Scan the QR Code displayed on the TV screen.
    10. Once connection is successful, a confirmation message will appear on the TV screen and mobile device.
